Hello, my name is Nick Heuwinkel, and I’m from Kiel, Germany. I began sailing at the age of five and have been passionate about the sport ever since. In recent years, I’ve sailed the Ilca, Finn, and various big boats.
I joined the Starclass in 2024.
The highlight of my time in the Starclass has been the entire 2024 season, as each event I attended provided unforgettable experiences. The members of the class welcomed me warmly, sharing all their expertise and insights with me.
A big thanks to the support of the German Starclass and the Heinz Nixdorf Academy.
I also would like to thank @Arnd Glunde, who continuously encouraged me to try the Star and my crew Jesper Spehr, who was keen enough to give me a chance to sail the entire season with him.
